Gerina Stevenson, who is the Mexican daughter of Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson, was born in Mexico. The mother of two is Mexican American as well as an American by the nationality. Ever since she was young she's been extremely attracted to sports. Gerina started playing golf at the age of she turned 15 years old. Gerina went to Goddard High School for her secondary education. In high school she won at the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. Also, she played volleyball at the state level. The year 2003 was the time she began her studies at the University of Texas. She took home all the tournaments she played in during her final years. In her time at college she won the Conference USA Player of The Year award and The UTEP Female Sport Athlete Award.
